Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 18, 2026
1. Introduction and Privacy Commitment
The development team of Obstetric Tools ("we", "our", "the Application") is deeply committed to protecting the privacy of healthcare professionals and their patients. This Privacy Policy transparently describes how information is accessed, collected, and handled when using our mobile application, strictly complying with Google Play Data policies, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and equivalent international regulations.
2. Health Data: Access, Collection, and Use
To comply with health application policies, we must transparently disclose how we handle health-related information. • What Health Data is accessed: The app processes manually entered clinical parameters (such as Last Menstrual Period dates, ultrasound biometrics, maternal weight, and clinical assessment scores like Apgar or Bishop). • How we collect and use it: This data is NOT collected or transmitted off your device. It is entered manually by the user and used exclusively and locally on your device to perform mathematical obstetric calculations (e.g., estimating gestational age or fetal weight). • Data Transmission and Sharing: WE DO NOT TRANSMIT, UPLOAD, STORE REMOTELY, SHARE, OR SELL ANY HEALTH DATA OR PATIENT INFORMATION. All clinical inputs are processed ephemerally in your device's local memory (RAM) and are permanently erased when the calculator is cleared, the screen is changed, or the app is closed. No health data is ever linked to your device ID, user profile, or shared with third parties.
3. Device and User Data Collection (Third Parties)
While we strictly do not collect health data, the Application integrates essential third-party services that collect specific technical and user data for monetization and subscription management: • Advertising & Device IDs (Google AdMob & AppLovin): To maintain the free version of the app, we use AdMob and AppLovin. These services automatically collect and process your device's Advertising ID (such as AAID on Android or IDFA on iOS), IP address, and app usage data to deliver targeted or non-targeted advertisements and evaluate campaign performance. • User IDs & Purchases (RevenueCat): To manage access to Premium features, we use RevenueCat. This service generates an anonymous App User ID linked to your device. It collects information about your purchase history, subscription status, and transaction receipts. Crucially, none of these third-party services (AdMob, AppLovin, RevenueCat) have access to the clinical or health data entered into the application's calculators.
4. Use of Collected Information
The technical data (Device IDs, Advertising IDs, and App User IDs) collected through the aforementioned third-party services is used exclusively to: - Verify and grant access to Premium subscription features. - Display relevant advertisements that allow us to keep the core application free. - Analyze application performance and proactively fix software errors.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade any type of personal information to third parties. The technical and device data mentioned in Section 3 is only shared with our authorized data processors (Google AdMob, AppLovin, RevenueCat, Apple, Google) strictly under their respective data processing agreements and privacy policies. No health data is ever shared.
6. Retention and Security
Obstetric Tools implements industry-standard technical security measures (Privacy by Design). Since no health data leaves your device, the risk of medical record leaks is non-existent. Data related to your purchases, subscriptions, and advertising preferences is retained by Google, Apple, and RevenueCat for the time necessary to provide the purchased services or as required by applicable laws.
7. User Rights and Opt-Out
You have full control over your device. You can restrict ad tracking or reset your Advertising ID from the privacy settings of your operating system (Android/iOS). If you wish to remove any trace of the application, simply uninstall it from your device; this will erase any local preferences saved.
8. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Substantial changes will be notified by updating the 'Last updated' date at the beginning of this document. Continued use of the application after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
9. Contact
